Colchester United`s best foot forward would be to deploy current first-choice paring Clive Platt and Kevin Lisbie up front, according to the latest Vital Poll.
The duo won with 50% of the vote, even after the recent January addition of Scott Vernon was added into the possible list of choices.
Supporters plumbed for Kevin and Clive partnership, the front mean bought during the summer to replace last team`s Jamie Cureton and Chris Iwelumo combination. They currently have 17 goals altogether this term, not yet eclipsing the feat of the Chris and Curo combo, where 41 strikes were hit.
The poll was run in light of the admission by manager Geraint Williams that Vernon`s arrival will offer healthy competition alongside the other forward options of Jamie Guy and former England man Teddy Sheringham.
While Guy`s starts have been limited this term, he regularly made cameo appearances from the bench during the 2006-7 campaign.
The remaining vote was spread, with users of the site thinking it just effective to pick Vernon and Platt together and they were likely to pick playing three up top, as both options scooped a 13% rating.
The latter was used during the promotion season under Phil Parkinson, when then loanee Mark Yeates played alongside others in attack.
The results are found in full here:
