Hammond Ready to Fight for Place
Colchester's new midfielder Dean Hammond says he is ready to fight for a place in the team.
Hammond who signed in January from Brighton says he is ready to battle for his place in the U's starting eleven.
Having returned to fitness after after a calf injury the U's new boy hopes to break into the first team soon.
Speaking to the Colchester Gazette: 'I know that I have a fight to get into the team.
'But competition for places is always good and that's what you want, because it means you have to be in top form.
'You know that you have to train well if you want to get into the team.'
