Bankole Set for Place on Bench

Colchester United's temporary goalkeeping coach Ademola Bankole has been registered as a player, by U`s boss Geraint Williams, ahead of this weekends clash with Wolves.

This comes after U`s second choice stopper Mark Cousins was ruled out of the game with appendicitis. Williams had said he was looking in the loan market for a replacement, but has put his faith in Bankole instead.

The 38-year-old former Nigerian World Cup goalkeeper is set to take up a place on the bench for tomorrow`s game, as back up to U`s first-choice stopper Dean Gerken
