Game Biggest of Season: Williams

Colchester United manger Geraint Williams has labelled tomorrow`s game against Sheffield Wednesday as the U`s 'biggest` of the season.

The U`s face fellow strugglers Wednesday knowing that three points are vital, if the U`s are going to make a late push for survival. The Layer Road based club are nine points from safety, with just ten games until the season reaches its climax.

Speaking to BBC Essex, Williams said: 'You've got to help yourself and we've got to make sure we go out on Tuesday in what is the biggest game of the season for us.'

The U's face three home games in seven days, knowing that they need to haul themselves up the table: 'We've got to go and win that and if we win that we've got two more home matches to come - so we'll take it from there, but all our thoughts now are on Tuesday.'

'Hopefully there'll be a full Layer Road crowd with a fantastic atmosphere; we've got to go out and do what we did against Preston - get at them and go and win the game.' He explained.

Couldn't agree more, although it is already looking like we have got too much to do.

A bit of a bogey team you for us over the last few seasons. This time last year you thumped us 4-0 and that got Sturrock the sack! Tonight will also be tough but i think our win against QPR has lifted the team and i can see us sneaking it 2-1.
will it ever happen
Yeah we have had some good results against you guys in the past, hope we can get one tonight.

TOO LATE WILLIAMS! Start by playing it on the deck would help for a start!

Heard you have been unlucky in your last few games? Decisions going against you and all of that?
will it ever happen
We do hit it long abit I must admit. Decisions always seem to go against us, hope that changes tonight.

I disagree that he would be sacked - it's too late, maybe. to save our season. Unless we get 10 wins! Is the biggest remaining game!

Well if we don't get the three points tonight, I think its all over... :-(

Same, and that would be massive! Williams to be sacked? No!
Matt_Us
Lol, No point of sacking him..
StevieG Col U
Told you it was going to be 2-1! What is the point of sacking him? Had a great season last year, just lost your good players and didn't replaace them with other good players.
will it ever happen
Well done WIEH, but pretty annoying for the U's! Exactly.... a new manager at this point is really not worth it!

Yeah keep Geraint in!
