Cowling 100% Behind Geraint

Geraint Williams will still be Colchester United manager next season, according to U`s chairman Robbie Cowling.

Even though the U`s are currently sitting ten points from safety, at the foot of the table, Cowling recognises what a 'fantastic job` Williams has done. Cowling and the board backed Williams in the January transfer window, but with just one win since then relegation is looking likely.

'We are 100 per cent behind Geraint,' Cowling told The Colchester Gazette.

'If we were on a par with the clubs in our division and attracting the same huge budgets and crowds and were bottom of the table, it might be different but Geraint has done a fantastic job.'

'There are no concerns about him and I absolutely expect him to still be manager next season.' He added.

Well done a good job last season. Hopefully will do one next season in L1.
