Gerken Eager To Spread Pain!

Colchester United goalkeeper Dean 'The Demon' Gerken has admitted he is keen to spread the U's pain elsewhere around East Anglia...

Defeat to Hull, on Tuesday night, all but confirmed their Championship relegation; as the U's prepare to face Norwich on Saturday, Gerken told My Football Writer: 'To get Ipswich out of the playoff race would be brilliant, and to drag Norwich back in with us would be brilliant as well.'

'We've got them on Saturday and hopefully we can put them in a little trouble, so they find themselves in the same situation we're in at the moment.

'I hope we can enjoy the rest of the season, we still want to finish with as many points as we can and see where it gets us,' he revealed.

'We don't want to finish rock bottom so we've got to keep achieving, keep making ourselves little goals.

'We're still not mathematically out of it we're going to keep going and try and get as many points as we can on the table. We'll see where we are at the end of it.'
