Ricoh Performance Knocked U's

As the U's prepare to take on Coventry tomorrow, manager Geraint Williams believes the U's performance away to the Sky Blues was one of their worst of the season.

The U's went down 1-0 thanks to Michael Mifsud's late strike, a dire performance rounded off as Teddy Sheringham saw red late on for violent conduct.

Now the U's will be aiming to make amends for their poor showing at The Ricoh Arena, with a victory tomorrow.

'We were all disappointed with our performance up at Coventry,' Williams told The Colchester Gazette.

'It was one of our worst performances of the season at the Ricoh and I think that knocked us a bit.'

The Welshmen explained: 'It came just after we had beaten West Brom and had gone to Ipswich and missed a penalty after 70 minutes and then conceded three quick goals.

'We'd like to put in a good performance tomorrow and try and come away with the win.'
