Heath: A Pretty Easy Decision

Colchester United's new recruit Matt Heath has admitted it was 'a pretty easy decision ' to join the U's permanently.

Heath, who was surplus to requirements at Leeds, recently spent two months on loan with the U's and jumped at the chance to make the move permanent. The big defender featured five times for the U's, with injuries restricting more appearances. The ex-Coventry and Leicester man is the first of Geraint Williams' summer signings.

The 27-year-old told BBC Essex: 'It was a pretty easy decision to be honest, having been playing down here for the past couple of weeks whilst on loan.

'For them to show interest in wanting to sign me made it pretty easy.'
