Ex-U's Man Signs For Orient

Released Colchester United defender Danny Granville has joined League One side Leyton Orient.

Granville, 33, failed to impress with the U's, after joining from Crystal Palace less than a year ago. The left-sided defender has penned a one-year deal with the O's, with option of another year if desired.

Granville recently upset U's fans by backing Mark Yeates to be a success if he leaves the U's.

Hi, I am the editor of Orient Vital...it is very strange that an orient hero goes to Colchester and an ex Colchester player comes to the O's(who are very similar)...would you be interested in doing an interview about Granville and vica vera? OLI

i notice you never mentioned Granville as a Colchester hero! LOL and I hope they aren't very similar- i'm expecting a lot more from Locky than Granville showed.
ooohhJohnnieJackson
lol....cos he didnt make an impression at Colchester....expect a lot from Locky...he is great at work rate is 100%..he needs to be given the chance tho!

Well thanks for coming over Oli, to be honest I don't know alot about Granville, he only featured 20 times for us, unlike you know alot about Locky cause he played hundreds of games for you guys.

I read today the orient manager signed Granville stating he coul play centre-half which meant they now have an extra top class centre back! The only time he played there for us he looked so weak and was pushed off the ball far too easily.
ooohhJohnnieJackson
Yeah aint a centre-half, is rubbish there, not stronger enough in the air! But then again he aint the best full-back either! lol

This really is not pleasing! I thought we were signing 'quality'- after all he did lift the cup with Chelsea, But from your comments it doesnt sound like a good comment! I am hoping he makes an impact on Orient. Once again you are lucky to get Locky(we would of happily taken him back).........treat him well lol!
wickedoli5
I cannot believe he's only 33!! He seems to have been around for years.

Well I thought we were signing a quality player last year when he signed, but he has been awful!
