Lisbie To Make A12 Journey?

Colchester United striker Kevin Lisbie has been linked with a move to neighbour's Ipswich Town.

Lisbie, who struck 17 goals last season, is likely to cost Town around 750,000, with any fee possibly rising to 1,000,000. Now with the U's looking ahead to a season of League One football, following last season's bottom-placed finish, Lisbie might well take the chance to make an instant return to the Championship.

The 29-year-old joined on a free transfer from Charlton last summer, replacing Jamie Cureton.

The U's are rumoured to be already eyeing a replacement for the Jamaican international, with Cheltenham's Steven Gillespie a target.

He would be a big loss, but imagine how many good players for League One standard you could buy with best part of 1 million.
