Perkins Makes It Two!

Colchester United have made their second signing of the day with the capture of Rochdale midfielder David Perkins.

Perkins, who moves for an undisclosed six-figure fee, believed to be around £150,000, joins Steven Gillespie, who signed earlier today. Vital Colchester reported at the weekend that Perkins could well join, to read the article click here.

The U's beat off competition from Stockport County to sign the 26-year-old, who joined Dale from Morecambe.

Vital Colchester would like to welcome David aboard and wish him the best of luck for his U's career.

I've spoken to a Rochdale supporter and apparantly he is/was the best box to box midfielder in League 2

Yeah is quite good, one of the best players in L2 apparently! Think he is banned for the first few games of the new season after getting sent off in play-off semi!
