U's Announce High-Profile Friendly

Colchester United will host Spanish giants Athletic Bilbao in a friendly, the first to be played at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Bilbao will visit the U's 10,000 all-seater stadium on Monday August 4th. This will be the second of two ramp-up events which will take place.

Chairman Robbie Cowling told the U's official website: 'We are delighted to have such a prestigious game to get things underway at the new Weston Homes Community Stadium.

'The match should be a hugely popular one and we hope it will be the first of many fantastic fixtures at our new home.'
