U's Sign Sunday On A Wednesday

Colchester United have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Nigerian striker Akanni-Sunday Wasiu.

Wasiu, who was a free agent, had impressed while on trial with the U's, scoring three goals in as many games. The powerful front-man had also been looked at by League Two sides Brentford and Bournemouth but the U's have managed to get their man.

The 24-year-old spent time with St Albans last season and will help fill the void left by Kevin Lisbie, who has joined Ipswich Town.

Yeah some of his goals looked very good, a bit of a surprise package to teams maybe... ;-)
