Young U's XI Beaten at Bromley

A young Colchester XI which included a handful of 1st team players was beaten 3-2 away to Bromley tonight.

Colchester featured mainly reserve team players, although they were joined by Phil Ifil, Dean Hammond and Clive Platt.

Although not a full strength side this was Colchester's first pre-season defeat.

The next pre-season friendly is at Coca-Cola Championship club Norwich City on Saturday, and George Williams will undoubtedly field what will be close to he starting 11.

Original Story from the Colchester Gazette although the words are that of Vital Colchester.
