Vital Colchester's StevieG Col U brings you some of the transfer deals which were completed yesterday, from around England.

Please not these are only a few of the deals which happened yesterday.

Premier League

Manchester City smashed the British transfer-record to sign Real Madrid forward Robinho in a £32.5m deal. City`s new owners snatched the Brazilian star from under the noses of Chelsea.

Manchester United secured a £30.75m deal to take Dimitar Berbatov to Old Trafford, following an on-going transfer saga. The deal will see Red Devil`s youngster Frazier Campbell go the other way on a season`s loan.

Tottenham Hotspur bought in Russia`s Euro 2008 stat Roman Pavlyuchenko for a fee of £14m, Man City defender Vedran Corluka arrived in a deal worth £8.5m.

Everton also broke their transfer record with the signing of highly-rated Standard Liege midfielder Marouane Fellaini, for a fee of £15m.

Liverpool snapped up Espanyol midfielder Albert Riera for around £8m, while Steve Finnan went in the opposite direction.

Newcastle agreed a deal to take Valencia winger Ignacio 'Nacho' Gonzalez to St James Park on a season-long loan.

Stoke City had a busy day, as Tom Soares, Danny Higginbotham and Michael Tonge all joined the Premier League new boys.


Championship

League leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers signed Jason Shackell, Matt Hill and George Friend, from Norwich, Preston and Exeter respectively.

Preston North End completed deals to take Wolves front-man Stephen Elliot and Stoke`s Jon Parkin to Deepdale.

Ipswich Town signed Jon Stead on loan until January, with a potential permanent deal agreed.

Norwich City swooped to bring in Wigan forward Antoine Sibierski on loan.

Burnley signed Steve Thompson from Cardiff City; he penned a two-year deal.

Bristol City paid £140k to take John Akinde from Ebbsfleet.


League One

Southend United snapped up veteran front-man Dougie Freedman, from Crystal Palace, on a free transfer.

Newly-promoted Peterborough United sealed a deal to take Fulham youngster Gabriel Zakuani to London road on loan.

Cheltenham Town completed the signing to Yeovil Town forward Lloyd Owusu, he signed a one-year deal.

Crewe Alexandra signed defender John Brayford from Burton Albion, Brayford joined for an undisclosed fee.

Bristol Rovers signed Liam Harwood from Carshalton Athletic, on a one-year deal.


League Two

Rotherham United signed Spaniard Omar Garcia, as a free agent, following his release by La Liga side Athletic Bilbao.

Wycombe Wanderers agreed an undisclosed fee with Southend for striker Matt Harold.

Dagenham & Redbridge took Wesley Thomas to Victoria Road from Fisher Athletic.

Barnet completed a deal to take John O'Flynn, a former Ireland under-21 international, from Cork City.
