Bankole Backing Deeno

Colchester United goalkeeping coach Ademola Bankole is backing goalkeeper Dean Gerken following his error in the U's match with Crewe Alexandra.

Gerken appeared to be at fault for the first Crewe goal, as the U's fell to a 2-0 defeat at Gresty Road. Despite this, Bankole is convinced Gerken has a strong enough character to overcome it.

Following the game, Bankole said: 'Football is about ups and downs.

'For you to be able to cope it makes you a man, and I think he`s a man.'

Well Cousins has impressed a few people so if Deeno makes anymore mistakes he could lose his place in the team.
