U's Win Thrilller

Colchester United beat Tranmere Rovers 4-3 at Prenton Park tonight.

David Perkins put the U's ahead, before Anthony Kay headed a Rovers' equaliser.

Only for Mark Yeates to fire the U's into another lead from a well-taken free-kick.

The visitors extended their lead on 40 minutes when Clive Platt scored his first of the season.

Shortly after the interval, Johnnie Jackson fired in the U's fourth.

The home side hit back with two goals, from Andy Taylor and Ryan Shotton, but the U's held on for there second league victory of the season.
