Vincent To Finalise U's Switch

Cheltenham Town forward Ashely Vincent is set to seal a move to Colchester United sometime today.

The winger/striker is set to have a medical with the U's, and following a positive outcome, will ink a loan deal until the end of the season. And with Vincent, who turns 24 in May, out of contract, a permanent transfer to the Weston Homes Community Stadium is set to follow.

Town manager Martin Allen told The Gloucester Citizen: 'Ashley is going to a very progressive club in Colchester United.

The ex-Wolves trainee has netted six times this season.

Allen concluded: 'At times I have given him a hard time and pushed him, but he scores goals from the right of midfield and anyone who does that is gold dust.'

So will you be pleased if Vincent completes his move?

... not sure. How he will fit in, not at all. Good news, perhaps. But his work-rate is up and down, I hear!
