Another Wasted Trip For Coyne

COLCHESTER UNITED defender Chris Coyne once again made the long journey half-way around the world, to Australia, only to not even make the bench for his country.

Coyne failed to make Pim Verbeek's matchday squad as the Socceroos' played host to Uzbekistan, in Sydney, earlier today. The game saw the home side run out comfortable 2-0 winners.

This is not the first time this has happened and will surely once again anger U's boss Paul Lambert.

Coyne's days in North Essex seem to be coming to an end after 14-months with the U's. His international endeavors, along with niggling injuries, have restricted his first team chances this season.

On Monday Vital Colchester reported that Coyne was keen to make a move back down-under in the near future. To read the article, click here.

The repercussions of the 30-year-old's long trip will see him miss three U's games in the process, Scunthorpe, last Saturday, Millwall, last night and Leeds, this coming weekend.

Vital Colchester's current poll asks: Will Chris Coyne Be At The WHCS Next Season?

So why not cast your vote now!

So do you have question marks over his U's commitment? Or is he right to put club before country?
