Transfer News: Loan Duo Make WHCS Return

COLCHESTER UNITED's defensive duo Matt Lockwood and Matt Heath have both returned to the Weston Homes Community Stadium, following loan spells away from the club.

Lockwood, 32, has enjoyed an eight-week loan spell with League Two side Barnet. The former Leyton Orient man was drafted in to help the Bees pull away from the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Heath has returned after a month-long loan stay with the U's League One rivals Brighton & Hove Albion. The Seagulls, who the U's face on Easter Monday, are another side struggling in their respective league.

Lockwood and Heath will now both get the chance to show U's boss Paul Lambert that they have a future with the U's.

Vital Colchester would like to welcome the pair back to North Essex and wish them the best of luck.

So are you happy to see them return?

Probably, but he does have quite a good ratio of time on the pitch and goals scored! Up the U's!

Yeah, don't think Heath is much good and think Locky would have done OK if he never got injured, but now it will be hard to displace Tierney from the side.
