Yeates Contract Speculation Untrue?
Just two of Colchester United`s first-team are out of contract this summer, and one of them is Pat Baldwin.
The East Anglain Daily Times revealed the stat during an article today, which states that Baldwin, 26, is sure to re-sign for Colchester within the next few days.
The defender last agreed a deal while the side where in their first Championship season.
But that begs the question: who is the other? A first guess could be Sunday Wasiu, the former non-league wildcard who was given a contract at the start of the season. He is almost certain to leave when Paul Lambert announces a squad cull on Monday.
However, Wasiu is not technically a first-teamer, which could add fuel to the fire that Mark Yeates is the unmentioned player whose contract is up.
Nothing but speculation can support this augment, however, mooted by fans on this and several other message boards.

Yeates is DEFINATELY still under contract. Cousins, Wasiu, and Maybury are DEFINATELY at the end of their contracts and I believe Guy might also be.

Yep, I know Maybury and Wasiu are out of contract. Would be good if Yeates is still under contract as if he does go we wont lose him for nothin.
