U's Rumour Mill - Larsson To Sign?

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE winner Henrik Larsson is rumoured to be in talks with Colchester United.

Although any deal would seem unlikely, a number of rumours of a potential deal have been doing the rounds.

The rumours have surfaced due to U's manger Paul Lambert's close connections with the Swedish striker. The pair played together for a number of years while at Celtic and are believed to be close friends.

Larsson, an ex-Barcelona and Manchester United goal poacher, is currently enjoying his second spell at Helsingborg.

Despite now being 37-years-old, I'm sure Larsson would still score a hatful at goals this level.

So have you heard this rumour? Or perhaps you have heard a different one?

Could never see it! Would be a massive signing though (or even a white elephant Sheringham style!)

You wouldn't have thought that Teddy would join though...!!!

Apparently they were best men at their each others weddings!

I'm not sure how much I'd believe the rumour - however, with Helsingborg reluctant to keep the expensive striker and Colchester looking for a man up front, he could be the man we've been waiting for...
JayUs
Yep, would be a big shock. Welcome to the site JayUs. ;-)

I can't see him coming- but then Superted came? I think the money his wages will cost would be better spent on two or three future stars than an ageing (albeit supremely talented) player
The Stig
Yep, don't think it will happen.
