Hibs To Sort Jones Future

Hibs To Sort Jones Future

New Hibs boss John Hughes says he`ll be "spinning plates" to keep Colchester United and Nottingham Forest target Rob Jones at the club.

"I`ll sit down with big Rob. I know he's possibly wanting to go back down south for family commitments."

'I think he's been the backbone at Hibs for a number of years.'

The 29-year-old has been very vocal in stating his desire to one day return to England during the past six months.

United have had several offers for the giant defender rejected.

'If that is the case, you have to respect that, but why can't John Hughes inspire him as well and get him to sign another year's contract?'

Hughes has said he wants players to buy into his new vision at Easter Road and is going to sit down immediately with Jones to discuss his future.

Can Colchester United afford Rob Jones?
