West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray should be the next Celtic boss - according to United`s Paul Lambert.
Lambert reveals today in the Scotsman newspaper that he is an admirer of the man whose side have just been relegated from the Premier League.
The former Hoops skipper, who played for the side for eight years, has told them to pull out all the stops to sign a talented manager.
"I have a lot of time for Tony. He has been very good to me in the past and he is a great manager. He has achieved a lot in his career so far," said Lambert.
Lambert explained that Mowbray had been helpful to him in his managerial career so far. He said he thought Mowbray`s style of football would win over the fans at Parkhead.
Meanwhile, the East Anglian Daily Times today reiterates Lambert`s desire to stay with Colchester United after the board at Motherwell made him number one target for the managerial position.
He said he felt he had the full support of owner Robbie Cowling and that he is very much focused on achieving his medium-term goals with the U`s.
Will Paul Lambert one day manage Celtic?
