Colchester United will head to a site in Germany similar to the one used by Argentina for their 2006 World Cup preparation when pre-season commences in July.
Boss Paul Lambert has picked the sides based on his prior knowledge of the German football scene, based on the experiences he had as a player and European Cup winner with Borussia Dortmund.
"I want a big work ethic, and for my players to run through walls for this club," Lambert said, in today`s East Anglian Daily Times.
"We will have a busy pre-season and I know what it will be like on the training camp in Germany, because I went to one with Wycombe Wanderers, to a place just outside Dortmund."
Lambert went on to day that it will be no holiday for the players and he expects some had grafting.
"The environment will be just right for what I want from this week away. It should bring everyone together," he added.
Previous boss Geriant Williams used always to comment on the togterness of the squad during his highly successful Championship season, in 2006-7.
Colchester's squad will return from to undertake a less-than gruelling pre-season, which can be viewed here.
They include trips to Ipswich Town and Aston Villa.
Will the training camp create a good spirit?
