Okuongae Set To Sign For U's

Magnus Okuonghae is believed to be close to becoming a Colchester United player with a transfer imminent.

The highly-rated Dagenham & Redbridge centre-back has been linked with a host of clubs, from both League One and The Championship. Vital Colchester exclusively reported that U's boss Paul Lambert was keen earlier this month, click here.

Okuonghae, 23, primarily functions in the centre of defence but can also operate at right-back.

Althoguh out of contract a fee will have to be paid by the U's due to Okuonghae being under 24.

What sort of fee do you think will be involved?

Well, let's hope he's good! I was just looking at his profile yesterday... good free signing given that other sides were in for him. Must mean that someone's leaving, though?
Matt_Us
Yeah he would be good if Pat and/or Coyne goes. Also afte Williams. But what we need are STRIKERS!!! We have only been linked with 1 striker (Holt) and that's a no go. So come on Lambert, keep going!

What has PL got going on, I wonder?

Matt, not free, read the article! Wouldn't surprise if this means Baldwin is off, good player by the seems of it though.

I read it. Sorry. Would you swap Yeates, Gerken and Baldwin for Magnus Okuonghae, Williams and Mr. Nodoby? Or am I being floolish in asking....
