U's: Platt's 'Part Of Our Plans`

UNITED have countered speculation connecting Clive Platt with a possible transfer to Norwich City.

Assistant manger, Ian Culverhouse, says such talk is completely untrue in today's Colchester Gazette: "Clive isn`t going anywhere.

"He`s an integral part of our plans for the new season."

The U`s want two new forwards before next season and are probably prepared to let at least one of either Scott Vernon or Jamie Guy leave.

Platt, however, a £300,000 signing from MK Dons, looks set to stay.

Good, think he could do al right next season.

Where are the other strikers, then... and if the ones we have are that good, we don't need anymore!
Matt_Us
No point in letting him go. We need a target man and if we let him go we would have to pay more than we get to find a replacement that wouldnt be any better! Target men seem to be at a bit of a premium.

Yeah, I find that odd that they are but we might as well keep him then!

Norwich could have gone for Sam Parkin, so is not a free agent anymore!
Matt_Us
Yep, defo keep him. We cant afford to lose him really.
