Impressive U's take two goal lead through Scott Vernon and Ashley Vincent but a Villa comeback forces a draw.

Thursday July 23rd - Heybridge 0-1 U's - Vernon Grabs Only Goal

In-form Vernon smashes home a second-half winner to give U's the win.

Saturday July 25th - Ipswich 2-0 U's - Unlucky U's Lose

Despite dominating periods of play in Fabian Wilnis' testimonial match, the U's go down by two goals.

Saturday August 1st - Rushden 1-1 U's - Pre-Season Draws To Close

Lambert's side end with second successive 1-1 draw against Blue Square Premier opponents.

We're unbeaten in 8, including wins at Palace and against Wigan so are strangely optimistic. It's a little...unnerving!
