U's To Unveil New Striker?

Colchester United could be set to announce the signing of a new striker as early as this afternoon.

Paul Lambert, and the U's, have made no secret of their desire to bolster the U's attacking options ahead of the new season. And with the injury to fellow attacker Steven Gillespie, click here, more firepower looks needed even more.

Lambert, 39, revealed: 'As far as new players are concerned, we are still trying to bring in players and we are hoping to have an answer by Monday.'

The U's have missed out on a number of forward-thinking targets this summer, reportedly close to double figures.
