Magnificent U's Crush Norwich

Colchester United started their season with a fabulous 7-1 victory away to Norwich City.

First-half braces from strike pairing Kevin Lisbie and Clive Platt, a sublime David Fox free-kick gave the U's a 5-0 half-time lead. And substitutes David Perkins and Scott Vernon added insult-to-injury after Cody McDonald had pulled a goal back for the hosts.

The results sends Paul Lambert's men straight to the top of League One.

image the score would be if we still had yeates
brodie84
To be honest, doesn't that score prove we don't need him at all? Accroding to the boss, our wingers helped rip them apart!!
Matt_Us
There goalies seems *****!!! lol Would we have scored that many more with Yeates?? I don't really think so - we played as a team, something Yeates restricts IMO.
StevieG Col U
Restricted, Steve. He's gone now, so past tense! This looks to be the start of a bright season, couldn't be happier if I tried! [Edited by MattUs]

Well what a result - well done - certainly saved us from being the L1 headlines after suffering a 0-5 defeat at Gillingham.
