U's Skipper Deano Loves Keano!

Dean Hammond has admitted his favourite all-time player is former Manchester United midfielder, Roy Keane, previously Sunderland manager and now in charge at the U`s East Anglian rivals, <>Ipswich.

Former Brighton and present Colchester United skipper Hammond also said he revealed he likes listening to Queen and can`t resist an Indian take-a-way after a big-game win.

"I liked - and I`ll probably get in trouble for saying this - Roy Keane. He was always a player I liked when he was at Manchester United. I know he`s down at Ipswich now but he was always a very good player!"

He added that the U`s, who an LMA award for Performence Of The Week today chosen by a panel including Keane`s ex-manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, should have taken more plaudits after last weekend`s 7-1 thrashing of League One opponents, Norwich City.

Speaking to Dream 100 FM, he explained: "I mean, we`ve won 7-1. I don`t know that we could do much better than that. Obviously we played very well and the chances we had we took, that changed the game.

"Within twenty minutes I think the game was done. Norwich were wishing they could finish it there. We played very well; we worked on things during pre-season that all came off on the day. The credit should go to us, not be taken away ."
