Injury Agony Keeps Beevers Out Of Leeds Clash

Colchester United full-back Lee Beevers looks certain to miss the League One clash with Leeds United.

The summer acquisition from Lincoln City dislocated his shoulder in the U's 2-1 defeat to MK Dons and had to visit a hospital to have it put back in. Ouch.

And now the versatile defender is anxiously awaiting results of a number of scans which have took place.

'When I ran on, I wasn't sure what the damage was going to be but at the time of the collision, it didn't look too serious,' physio Tony Flynn told the club's official website.

Flynn concluded that more will known early next week, he added: 'We are awaiting results on the scans Lee has had and early next week, we will see a consultant to see if an operation is needed or strengthening work will do the trick.'

The news means that Irishman Alan Maybury is likely to start on the right-side of the U's defence at the Community Stadium, against the Whites.

Good to get an article in as there had been doubts! But U's have cover!

Yep, Maybury is just as good as Beevers, if not better. So know real cause for concern.

I'll admit you have a good team... but don't expect to win without a fight from the mighty U's!
Matt_Us
Lets see what you have then

You, will (I hope) on the pitch come the weekend!! We have three good strikers, a goalscoring midfielder in David Fox, two pacy wingers and the long-serving Pat Baldwin and Kem Izzet! Hazzar!!

Leeds do have a good team - you're right. Reckon they would win L1 if we weren't in it!!!
StevieG Col U
oh god help you lot. you will have had a great season if you even made the play-offs. your team will do well to get a goal past us. our defence are rocks. i think i know who will win
benlufc
We will see... You making the trip down? Up the U's!
StevieG Col U
Benlufc - we are not boasting but we have to fight fire with fire! If you tell us that we're an easy team to beat, we tell you the opposite. It's called pride!!
