'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Players Have No Idea Who 'Mystery' Man Is!

Matt Lockwood last night said he "hasn`t a clue" who Colchester`s new manager will be, but if it is press favourite Aidy Boothroyd, then apparently the players will be last to find out.

The left-back, who played last night in the side`s loss on penalties to Gillingham having been sensationally frozen-out under the club`s previous boss, explained: "Really , it`s nothing to do with us."
"
The Chairman and the Chief Exec [Steve Bradshaw] are the ones that obviously run the club, they`re the ones who are interviewing the manager and they`re going to pick the guy who is best for job to take Colchester United forward. He`s going to get a manager who has been there and done it and I`m just really looking forward to meeting him
," Lockwood added on BBC Radio Essex.

He joins fellow defender, Alan Maybury, the second Colchester player insdie a week to say they have only inklings of what will happen next.

Without knowing it however, presumably, Lockwood`s closing statement echoes an excitement building for Colchester fans ahead of an impending announcement, which will be confirmed before the next league game away at Southampton.

I think that Lockwood and the rest of the squad will be more than pleased with Aidy. Anyone who shows them some respect must be better than Lambert... up the U's!

Well, I bet they read into a bit like the fans, even if it is only a career to them all.
Matt_Us
Yeah, they must do, they want to know who there gonna be working with - no doubt!
