Aidy Admits U's Duo Can Go!

Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed that David Perkins and Joel Thomas are both free to leave Colchester United - but only if the price is right!

Boothroyd, 38, has now had over three weeks to asses his U's squad and has come to the decision that the duo are not part of his plans.

Midfielder Perkins, who signed for the U's from Rochdale around 14-months ago, has failed to settle in North Essex and is eager for a move back North. While Thomas, a French forward, joined just two months back, for a rather hefty £125,000. However, after being signed under the former management routine, the 22-year-old has made just three substitute appearances for the U's.

So, now the U's are looking to re-coup the £275,000 spent on the pair... Lets just hope they manage to get as much as possible!

Can't imagine anyone will want Thomas (for a fee at least) and doubt we could recoup what we paid for Perkins

Yep, Thomas was a strange buty! Lambert you *****! Think a loan to a L2 club could do him good. Like you say, doubt we'll get £150k for Perks! Up the U's!

I think Thomas should have been given more of a run. Must have been better than Sunday!
