David Perkins has today sealed a month-long loan deal with Chesterfield.
The diminutive Colchester United midfielder recently expressed a desire to move back North after failing to settle. And now the 27-year-old has got his wish - for a month at least anyway - with a move to Saltergate.
Spireites boss John Sheridan told the club's official website: 'He's a player I was hoping was available and he gives us that balance and he's a pleasing addition to our side and he wants to come here and that's important.'
U's boss Aidy Boothroyd had said that he would not stand in the way of Perkins, so the temporary spell agreed comes as no surprise.
Vital Colchester would like to wish David the best of luck while away on loan.
