Bullish Boothroyd Backs U's For Revenge

Aidy Boothroyd sent out a fierce message to Millwall following his first loss as Colchester United manager.

James Henry's 94th minute free-kick saw the Lions snatch all three points, at The New Den, against the U's, on Saturday, in a 2-1 victory. However, Boothroyd emphasised that the U's still have another chance to beat their opponents, further in the season, in the return fixture at the Community Stadium.

Boothroyd, who has made the best start out of any U's manager ever, following a nine-game unbeaten start, said: 'They have only got half our scalp because we've got to play them again.'

'This is a huge result for them because we are a good side, but we will come back after them, don't worry about that,' he added.

Anthony Wordsworth's deflected set-piece put the U's one up, in the first-half, however, his side's performance dipped as the game wore on - a fate which U's fans have seen occur over and over again this season.

I'm not sure Aidy would have put it like that, some spin here...?! The 'Wall are not a good team to make rivals with! When he said "come back after them," he meant, I think, bounce back, no? Interesting take though!
