Transfer News: Perks Loan To See Out 2009

David Perkins has seen his loan deal with League Two side Chesterfield extended for a further two months.

The Colchester United midfielder has so far spent four weeks at Saltergate, and as expected, after impressing, Perkins will now stay until 2nd January, 2010.

Perkins, 27, now seemingly looks to have pulled on the Blue 'n' White of Colchester for the last time after admitting that he wasn't settled in the area. And with U's boss Aidy Boothroyd happy with his midfield options, it is likely the energetic Perkins will return North on a permanent basis.
