'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Loan Ace Odejayi Likely To Seal U's Switch?

Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed that Colchester United are very keen for Kayode Odejayi to extend his stay in North Essex - and so is he!

The big front man has netted six goals, from nine starts, since joining the U's on loan, in September. This comes after Odejayi - of Championship side Barnsley - managed just five goals in over eighty appearances previously for the Tykes. Football's a funny old game!

Speaking to the Sunday People, Boothroyd explained: 'Kayode is performing well in the league too. We`ve now got to make sure we hang onto him in January. We like him and he likes it here.'

With Odejayi's Oakwell contract due to expire this summer - and any new offer unlikely - a cut-price move South could well be on the cards... Watch this space!

That would be fantastic!

Certainly would be. He's loved here at the WHCS, unlike at Oakwell so fingers-crossed. [Edited by sgcolu]
