Aidy 25/1 Outsider For Bolton Hot-Seat

After Bolton Wanderers dismissed Gary Megson and began their search for a new manager it's no surprise U's boss Aidy Boothroyd has been touted for the position by some fans.

But currently the 38-year-old lies an outsider and is rated 25/1 to take over at the Reebok Stadium and fingers-crossed it stays that way! The departure of Boothroyd does seem unlikely, with the U's boss recently admitting he is here for the long run.

The current front-runners for the vacant post include Peter Reid and Paul Jewell, along with inexperienced son of Sir Alex Ferguson - Darren - and former Man City chief Mark Hughes.

Odds always annoy me because the punters as a whole usually know less than the numbers suggest!
