New Boys In Squad For Gills Test

Colchester United have named a freshly boosted squad for Saturday's game with Gillingham.

New duo Morten Knudsen and Christian Ribeiro both make the U's squad and are available at the Priestfields Stadium.

Vital midfielder John-Joe O'Toole also returns following a suspension and looks likely to make his first appearance since signing permanently. Hernia-victim Paul Reid is another available after missing out last weekend.

Versatile midfielder Ian Henderson missus out, however, as he serves the first of a three-game ban.

Youngster Tom Bender (ankle) is also unavailable, along with winger Ashley Vincent. The latter does travel with the squad as he steps up his return from injury.

Defender Pat Baldwin is not in the squad, despite looking likely to extend his U's career.

U's Squad: Williams, Cousins, Ribeiro, White, Tierney, Knudsen, Reid, Okuonghae, Heath, Batth, Izzet, Fox, Ifil, Hackney, O'Toole, Wordsworth, Elito, Lisbie, Platt, Odejayi, Gillespie

StevieG Col U's starting XI predition:

U's: Williams, Ribeiro, Okuonghae, Reid, Tierney, Lisbie, O'Toole, Izzet, Wordsworth, Odejayi, Platt.
