Transfer News: Accies Return For Mis-fit Thomas

Jol Thomas yesterday sealed a loan return to old club Hamilton Academical after failing to settle with Colchester United.

The French forward was signed by ex-boss Paul Lambert last summer but has failed to start a game - only making seven substitute appearances in his time in North Essex. Thomas will spend the rest of the current campaign North of the border with Accies.

Thomas told the club's official website: 'It will be very good for me to go back and I hope that I will do well there. There have been times where I think I shouldn't have left, but I think I have also been unfortunate here.'

The 22-year-old could make his second debut for the SPL side against league giants Celtic this weekend.

Vital Colchester would like to wish Jol the best of luck in his time with Hamilton.
