Queudrue Optimistic Following Début Draw

Franck Queudrue, currently on loan with Colchester United, was quick to look forward optimistically following an impressive début showing.

Despite an unfortunate, controversial 1-1 draw, against Wycombe Wanderers, the Frenchman put in a solid display in the heart of the U's back four. Queudrue's vast Premier League quality and experience was clear to see, with the 31-year-old named Man of The Match among many.

'I think we have definitely got enough quality to do something in this league. We've got pace, strength and, tactically, we have got a good shape,' Queudrue enthused following the game at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Queudrue, who was voted Birmingham City's Player of the Season last year, added: 'I'm quite happy to get 90 minutes because it's my first competitive game in quite some time. Hopefully, I can go on to show my worth here.'

The U's now face the long trip West to face Exeter City, on Good Friday, before facing in-form Millwall three days later - a long weekend which looks likely to play a key part in deciding the U's fate this season.

'I trust him and he wouldn't do it on purpose. Now we have to focus on our next game and get a result,' he added.
