Hendo: I Didn't Know How To Celebrate!

Ian Henderson has admitted he was so thrilled to score his first Colchester United goal that he didn't know how to mark the occasion!

The versatile midfielder broke his U's duck, in a 1-1 draw with Wycombe Wanderers, at the weekend with an emphatic strike. Henderson skilfully controlled Kem Izzet's lofted pass before calmly guiding the ball into the far corner of the net.

'I saw the defender running at me so I chested it over his head and put it in the far corner,' Henderson told The Daily Gazette following the result.

The 25-year-old, who signed on a free transfer during the January transfer window, has looked a dangerous threat for the U's since finding his feet in the side.

He added: 'I had so much joy inside of myself, I didn't know what to do when I scored!'

Well, if Henderson manages to keep banging in goals like that, I'm sure all U's fans will make an exception to the lack of goal celebration!

Ultimately not good enough for the side. Don't know why he's here and Hackney is out on loan to Morecombe

Possibly too soon to judge as much, OJJ! We'll have to see, but meantime his goal gives us something to think about!

Not sure I agree there, think Henderson has looked pretty good - has shown a lot of desire and commitment and a bit of ability, as for thne goal!

If he keeps working like that, he'll be a good option!
