U's Await New Fixtures & Cup Draw

Fixtures for the 2010/11 season will be published on June 17, a day after the draw for the First Round of next season`s Carling Cup is announced.

Two sides, Hull City and Burnley, have an automatic bye and avoid the first-round game and so go to the second round of that competition automatically.

Colchester United have had a poor record in the cup competition over recent seasons and were knocked out against Leyton Orient in 2009-2010 at the first hurdle.

U's fans will be await the league fixtures in particular with much more excitement, however, even without the prospect of a clash against local rivals Southend, who recently dropped out of League One.
