U`s Edge Out Of Prutton Race?

Colchester United`s John Ward is ready to admit he might lose the battle to re-sign Brighton and now Swindon target, David Prutton.

Signed from Leeds at the midpoint of last season, the midfield joined on a short-term deal and has been interesting the Seagulls for a number of weeks.

It has now emerged that Town will also content for his signature, with Ward confirming it "looks like" he will head for pastures new ahead of accepting the club`s on-the-table offer.

Confirmation awaits on this one, folks!

Well, he's on a fair wedge, so maybe we can use the money saved to bring in two or three..

BBC Radio Wiltshire are reporting that he's Swindon bound... Doesn't make it concrete but they're often reliable.
