U`s Like New Club For Eager Beevers

Colchester United`s latest incantation under John Ward has been hailed as a whole new experience for almost-forgotten full-back, Lee Beevers.

It seems that the club, onto its third full-time manager inside a year, is not the only thing reinventing itself. Beevers, who suffered chronic injury problems during his debut season following last summer`s move from Lincoln, has recently been rejuvenated as a possible central midfielder.

He told the Daily Gazette he was enjoying the fresh start afforded following Paul Lambert (Norwich) and Aidy Boothroyd (Coventry) both leaving the club in quick succession."It`s a bit like starting again -it`s just nice to feel fit and get back out there. "

Beevers will probably compete for as many as six passions this season, such is his versatility as either a defender or central player and it will be interesting to see where, after just a handful of appearances for the U`s to date, he actually ends up playing.
