Updates Due On Ankle Knock Pair

Updates Due On Ankle Knock Pair

Supporters are still awaiting an update from the club on their injured duo, Andy Bond and David Mooney.

The new signings both suffered ankle problems in the midweek Cup clash away at Hereford, with double scorer Mooney stretchered off in the second half during a 3-0 win.

'If we were to lose them in would be a big shame because they`re both good additions to the squad," Ward to BBC Radio Essex.

Ward explained that he thought both were sustained from kicks during the game and fans eager to know the extent of the damage ahead of Saturday`s first home fixture of 2010/11, as Sheffield Wednesday visit.

The manager said he expected the club to assess the issues sometime on Thursday with the possibility of conducting future fitness tests as needed in the 48-hour run up to the next round of league games.
