'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Kevin Watson Speaks!

At 32, this could well be Kevin's last charge at the Championship...

'I'm sure we'll be fine - we've shown in one-off games in the cups that we can compete with those kind of teams. It's not a massive gap like the one from the Championship to the Premiership, so I'm confident we can bridge the gap.'

The fixture list is announced later this month and there no end of fixtures that will catch the eye...

'You have to look at the three teams who have come down from the Premiership as being the big three, and then obviously there are teams like Leeds and Crystal Palace who are still there,'

'And then for us, you have the games against Southend, Norwich and Ipswich - that's six local derbies, which is a massive number. For a team like us coming up, though, every game is going to be massive.'

Massive, but not impossible. It is vital that we hit the ground running and continue the momentum of last season. A good number of the clubs on Kev's list have been languishing in the Championship without achieving a whole lot for some time.

It's only right that Col U roll their sleeves up and set about making their mark!

Yes, in his days at Swindon he was one of the most quiet and effective players around. Unlike Cureton all mouth.
