Ward Delighted As U's Climb Table
John Ward was understandably delighted as his unbeaten Colchester United side beat Tranmere Rovers.
Three first-half goals saw the U's register a 3-1 home win, to climb to joint third in League One following an eight game unbeaten run.
Post-match, Ward enthused: 'I can't speak highly enough of them.',
He continued: 'I'm absolutely delighted with the team and with their attitude, which was spot on.
"We've probably not played as well as we had in the three drawn matches at home in some ways but we had really good chances to extend the lead.'
And Ward concluded: 'I'm really pleased with my team and the way they went about their work.'
