Okuonghae attracting interest?

Magnus Okuonghae is being linked with a Colchester exit; with a couple of championship sides report to be interested in the defender.

John Ward, as he told The East Anglian Times, has said that no offers have been made for the 25-year-old: 'we have had no enquiries concerning Magnus.'

The U's run the risk of him leaving on a free transfer if a new contract is not agreed soon, or him sold, as this expires at the end of the season.

Ward has confirmed that no talks have taken place with him, or others, over a new deal yet though: 'we haven't yet had any talks with our players about contracts. So there is nothing happening.'

It will be interesting to see what the next few days do actually bring, Leeds and Hull are believed to be among the clubs interested so if this does turn into a genuine interest and a decent amount offered the chances are he could move on...
